Manual Cinema had the honor of collaborating with the Obama Foundation and Batwin + Robin Productions to create two animated films for Obama Presidential Center Museum in Chicago, IL.
Ten Letters a Day features the diverse correspondents between the President and his constituents. In office President Obama read ten letters every night compiled by his staff, hand-picked from the many emails and letters the White House received daily. The letters illustrate the lives and concerns of Americans all across the nation, and how their voices inspired the President and his policies.
Power of Place asks what makes a place meaningful to us? The film gives a glimpse into the origins of Mr. and Mrs. Obama, where they came from, and the importance of Chicago, a city whose power comes from its people and its culture.
